Overview

Corporate stationery is your organisation's visual signature — the thing a client actually touches: the letterhead of a proposal, the envelope of a contract, the card handed over at a trade show, the invoice that follows. At PBDP we treat stationery design as the working end of brand identity, not a pile of unrelated files: one coherent system of print and digital templates that presents a single face, tone and standard across every interaction. If your logo and palette already exist, a stationery set turns them into daily business tools; if the identity is still being defined, we suggest starting with brand identity design and building the set on top of it.

What counts as a stationery set — and why it earns trust first

A complete set typically covers A4 letterheads, bilingual business cards, office envelopes, invoices and pro-formas, internal forms, compliment slips, presentation folders and email signatures. Before a client reads your price or your terms, they judge your discipline and seriousness from the first document they receive. The starting point is almost always a solid professional logo design; its clear space, colour rules and typeface then propagate into every template. On larger engagements we scope the stationery alongside the rest of the brand and design services so nothing is designed twice.

What you receive from a stationery project

  • Letterhead and continuation sheet: A4 layouts in your languages, with standard logo placement, contact block and footer, plus an editable Word version for daily use.
  • Double-sided business cards: bespoke artwork in each language, with correctly prepared print files for meetings, exhibitions and sales conversations.
  • Envelopes, compliment slips and folders: every common office size speaking one visual language, from DL to C4 and carry bags.
  • Financial and admin forms: invoices, pro-formas, receipts and delivery notes laid out to print cleanly out of accounting software, not just look good in a mockup.
  • Digital kit: email signatures tested in Outlook and Gmail, PDF letterheads for electronic correspondence, and animated presentation templates when static decks need an upgrade.
  • Newsletter format: an internal publication and bulk-email template consistent with the set, ready for use in your email marketing platform.
  • Production files and usage guide: print-ready CMYK artwork with bleed, full source files, and a one-page rulesheet so your team keeps the system tidy after handover.

How we deliver it

  1. Brief and identity audit: we review the logo, palette, typefaces and legacy documents; if no written identity exists, we extract one first.
  2. Concept routes: two distinct design directions applied to the two key items — letterhead and card — so decision-makers choose on real examples, not moodboards.
  3. Full set production: once a route is approved, every remaining item is built in the same logic and in each agreed language.
  4. Print preparation: artwork is converted to press-standard files: colour settings, bleeds, varnish and foil layers where needed.
  5. Proof and correction: a physical proof on the chosen stock is checked for colour and detail, and final adjustments are applied.
  6. Handover and training: the complete file pack plus a short walkthrough for administrative staff so correct usage survives launch day.

Keeping the set consistent with the rest of the brand

Stationery only works when it rhymes with your other touchpoints. If you sell physical goods, the paper system should share DNA with your product packaging design; if you print a catalogue or price list, the typefaces and grid should be the same family; and online, the identity has to carry into your social media visual content as well. We design the set so it stays recognisable on a desk, a billboard and a phone screen — that consistency is what audiences actually experience as "being a brand".

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum viable stationery set?

Letterhead, business card, envelope and invoice cover most needs, and the rest can follow in phases. In practice, though, defining the whole set in one project costs less per item and prevents the small inconsistencies — different typefaces, drifting colours — that later multiply across departments and print suppliers.

We have a logo but no brand guidelines. Is that a problem?

No, but it needs a short front-end pass. Before design starts we codify the essentials — exact colours, typefaces, logo clear space and prohibited usages — into a minimal rulesheet. The whole stationery set is then built on that reference, and the document itself becomes part of your delivery.

Will the files work with any print shop?

Yes. Deliverables follow offset and digital press standards: CMYK colour, correct bleed, outlined or embedded fonts and separated layers for special finishes. You also receive the source files, so future reprints never depend on us or on any single supplier.

To get a quote and see sample sets we have produced, contact the PBDP team — send us your item list, print run and deadline, and we will come back with a recommended stationery package and timeline.
