Overview
Every SEO and paid search project opens with the same question: which phrases deserve the budget? Keyword research and competitor analysis takes that decision out of the realm of guesswork and turns it into numbers. Before PBDP spends a single rial on content production or click advertising, we measure real search volume, competitive difficulty, the intent behind each phrase and its commercial value — then tell you which thirty terms are genuinely winnable over six months and which popular keyword is not worth writing for at all. The output is one map that gives direction to both the content team and the media buyer, and it plugs straight into our wider SEO and digital marketing services.
Why search volume alone is a bad compass
A phrase with ten thousand monthly searches, driven mostly by students doing coursework, is worthless to an industrial equipment manufacturer — while a fifty-search query such as "buy semi-automatic packaging machine" can be worth an entire year of marketing spend. So we stack three layers: search volume, difficulty, meaning how many strong sites already hold the top positions, and commercial value, meaning the probability that a visitor becomes a customer. Only where those three lines intersect does a phrase become a real priority. Our scoring method is transparent: every ranking in the report shows the number and the reasoning, so you can challenge it rather than swallow it.
What competitor analysis reveals
Google results are the most honest marketing map you will ever get. When we dissect the twenty strongest rivals for a phrase, we see which of their pages attract traffic, what structure they invest in, which words they use in headings and — most usefully — what they have not covered. That content gap is your opening: demand exists and nobody answers it well. In saturated markets the same analysis defines your angle of differentiation; if every rival competes on price, we build the argument around warranty and after-sales service instead. For deeper market questions we extend this work into feasibility and market analysis.
What you receive
- The complete keyword universe: hundreds to thousands of relevant phrases, grouped by intent, product line and funnel stage.
- Quantitative data: monthly search volume, difficulty score, approximate cost per click and seasonality trend for each term.
- An allocation map: which phrase belongs on which page, so your own URLs never compete against each other in the results.
- Competitor report: twenty leading rivals compared on page structure, content gaps, backlink profile and traffic channels.
- Traffic forecast: pessimistic, realistic and optimistic scenarios for twelve months, measurable through web analytics and reporting.
- An execution-ready file: output formatted for content SEO strategy briefs and for Google Ads and PPC ad groups, with no further analysis required.
How we deliver it
- Brief and seed terms: conversations with your sales team to capture the language customers actually use, not the language internal brochures use.
- Expansion: generating hundreds of related phrases with specialist tools and combining them with real customer questions.
- Refinement: removing irrelevant terms, merging synonyms and screening the list by commercial value.
- SERP analysis: manual review of the top results for each key phrase, judging genuine competition rather than trusting a tool score.
- Handover and execution: a walkthrough session, delivery of the working file and the start of technical SEO and landing page design against those priorities.
Money keywords versus traffic keywords
Splitting phrases into three groups makes the decision easy. Transactional terms containing "price", "buy" or "supplier" convert directly, are fiercely contested and are where paid budget belongs. Comparative phrases such as "best ..." or "... vs ..." catch people at the threshold of decision and need guides and comparison tables. Informational terms build traffic, put the brand in the reader's head and provide the surface for internal linking. A healthy programme mixes all three, and your target market share decides the ratio. For businesses launching a new product we recommend taking long-tail, low-competition phrases seriously — precisely the ones your competitors have ignored.
Frequently asked questions
Are search volume figures reliable for Persian-language markets?
Global tools report Persian volumes as estimates, but the estimate is accurate enough for prioritisation. To remove ambiguity we triangulate three sources: your own Search Console data where it exists, observed competitor traffic and Google Trends behaviour, which brings the numbers closer to the reality of local demand.
Is keyword research a one-off or an ongoing task?
The baseline study runs once, at the start of the project. But customer language shifts and competitors keep publishing, so we recommend a quarterly review of tracked phrases and positions; that monitoring is included in our monthly SEO retainers.
Is this useful before a business even launches?
Arguably more useful than at any later stage: measuring real demand per product line before the site is built prevents investment in pages nobody searches for. Examples of that work appear in our services overview and in the practical guides we publish on the company blog.
